Soaker Swing Water Ride
With the Soaker Swing Water Ride you’re the pilot, and you have total control! Interactively operated water jets give riders complete control over this high thrill experience. Work together as a team to swing higher, and then pull the lever to spin faster and faster. The faster you spin, the wetter you get.
A team of two riders sit side-by-side and back to back safely secured into their seats with shoulder harnesses. Each rider has his own water jet controls and a shared brake lever is located between the two riders. When the brake lever is in the locked position, the riders take turns activating their water jet control which gradually swings the ride car back and forth. A little coordination and practice is needed to reach the maximum swing height.
Pushing the brake lever forward or pulling it backwards automatically activates the water jets forcing the spherical ride car to invert and spin end over end. Pushing forward on the brake lever rolls the ride car into a forward spin and pulling back on the brake lever rolls the ride car into a backwards spin. Releasing the brake lever at any time stops rotation, even while the ride car is inverted. The swing controls would once again be active and the riders could continue swinging the ride car while in the inverted position.
When the rides water jets pass over the horizontal, during an end over end spin, all the water launched vertically into the air will come splashing down on the riders. The faster the riders spin the car, the wetter they will get.
The ride may be configured from a single, two person, spherical ride car or contain multiple units to accommodate higher through put. Based on a three-minute ride and a minute for load and unload, a four-car Interactive Soaker Swing ride would entertain 120 guests per hour.
